What does everyone think about the current conflict in the Middle East? I believe it began in Tunisia, eventually spread to Egypt, Bahrain, Yemen, Libya, etc. Was the UN sanctioned no-fly-zone a good idea? Is western intervention justified? Should they intervene in all of the countries where human rights violations have occurred? What should be done with the ousted leaders? Should Mubarak and Gaddafi be tried by the International Court of Justice or by their own local courts?

Election Day at the U!

So today my university held elections for the student government body. One of the candidates for president was a ficus tree. Needless to say, my vote went to the only asexual oxygen producing candidate.

It is everywhere, it is used by virtually every company in the world ending up in our food and grocery stores! May cause excessive urination, sweat, and even vomiting. Hundreds of people have already signed petitions to ban this! Will you?

Though the scientific community (evolution) is winning the battle against the Christian community (creationism/intelligent design) on what should be taught in schools, I am still astounded by the amount of people who promote religious views as science. These mentally challenged individuals seem to think that a concept that rises from literally interpreting a non-scientific text (the bible) is as valid as a theory backed by geology, genetics, anthropology, and several other real scientific fields.


As illogical as religion is, I still believe it should be tolerated and respected, but attempting to mask their ideas a science is simply going too far. Take a stand, challenge anyone who endorses supernatural theistic concepts as scientific.

Thoughts

A good name for a vegetarian restaurant would be "veggie-tables" alluding to vegetables and tables(you know, since most restaurants have them)... Yeah!

WARNING! INVASION OF THE INVISIBLE GOATS!

We are being invaded by a new threat! The Invisible Miniature Flying Lamppost Goat is a new species in the Capra genus. These look exactly like domestic goats except one wouldn't know as they are invisible. Even if one possessed anti-invisibility vision, the goats are still hard to spot due to their miniature size. Their natural habitat is around lampposts, where they fly around at nighttime. The goats feed on miniature pieces of seaweed which are also invisible and also float around lampposts. During the day, these creatures retrieve to their resting place on the roof of catholic churches. Though we cannot see them, they are real and they are threat. Their numbers are increasing exponentially. Unless something is done soon, they will take over the Earth. Please spread the word about this new threat! If you encounter a skeptic, remind them about gravity: just because we cannot see it, doesn't mean it's not there!
